Youngster's dead body found on roadside in Kochi, murder suspected

KOCHI: A youngster was found dead on the roadside in Marottichuvadu, Kochi on Sunday. The police after conducting a preliminary investigation found the victim as Praveen, a native of Koonamthai Edappally.

The dead body is replete with injury marks, so the police are not ruling out the possibility of murder. Kochi DCP Juvvanapudi Mahesh informed the media about the ongoing investigation with the involvement of forensic experts.

Locals first spotted the dead body of the youngster by Sunday morning. Police are interrogating those who were in this area at night. The CCTV visual of the area will also be investigated. The investigation team will also see if there were any scuffles on Saturday night in the area, amidst Onam celebrations.
