Married woman and lover kill mother for opposing secret affair

BENGALURU: A woman and her lover were arrested for murdering her mother for opposing their secret affair. The arrested are Pavithra Suresh (29) of Bommanahalli and her lover Lovlish (20). Tho two murdered Pavithra’s mother Jayalakshmy (46).

The reason for the murder was her revenge towards Jayalakshmy for opposing her relationship with Lovlish. Both tried to make Jayalakshmi's death an accident. Pavithra initially told police that her mother fell in the bathroom and she fell unconscious. She told police that she moved her mother from the bathroom to a bed, where she later died. The police later registered a case of unnatural death.

Her body was sent for a post mortem examination and the report said that she died of suffocation. Pavithra then confessed to the crime during police interrogation. Pavithra later told police that she killed her mother after plotting a conspiracy with her lover. The arrested lover also admitted this.

Lovlish rented a room from Jayalakshmy. Pavithra was in a relationship with him for a year. Jayalakshmy asked Pavitra to end her relationship with him. Despite repeated warnings from Jayalakshmy, the woman continued the relationship. Meanwhile Jayalakshmy gave a stern warning and the two decided to kill her. Pavithra got married 11 years ago and has two children.
