Woman civil police officer found dead after returning home from work; Suicide suspected

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anitha, a police officer from the Attingal station, was found dead at her residence in Kallambalam. According to police reports, the death is suspected to be a case of suicide by hanging.

Anitha is believed to have taken her own life after returning to her home in Navaikulam following her shift at work. Her husband, Prasad, is a retired Sub-Inspector. The couple has two children. The exact cause of her death remains unclear.

The body has been shifted to Paripally Medical College Hospital for further examination.
