Nipah test results of three more persons return negative; Tamil Nadu orders strict screening at borders

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George said that the Nipah test results of three individuals under observation in Malappuram have returned negative.

With this, 16 people's Nipah test results have come back negative. A total of 255 people are on the contact list, with 50 individuals categorized as high-risk contacts. Under the minister's leadership, review meetings were held morning and evening.

Meanwhile, in the wake of Nipah virus confirmation in Malappuram, Tamil Nadu government has ordered stringent screening at borders. The government instructed district health officials to exercise caution and closely monitor individuals showing symptoms of Nipah virus.
