Woman forced to do nude puja to bring prosperity to family; two men including husband arrested in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: In a shocking incident, a woman's husband and his friend were arrested for forcing her to perform nude puja. The incident took place in Thamarassery in Kozhikode. The arrested people are Thamarassery Adivaram native PK Prakashan and Shemeer. In her complaint, Shemeer's wife stated that her husband and his friend asked her to perform nude puja to resolve family problems and bring prosperity to the family.

According to the complainant, Prakashan came to her home claiming to be a tantric. Both Shemeer and Prakashan tried to convince her that performing the nude puja would resolve her problems and help her bring prosperity to her family. However, when the woman refused, they started forcing her. Unable to bear the harassment, the woman approached the police with a complaint.

The accused were arrested by a team led by Thamarassery Police Inspector A. Sayooj Kumar. The duo was produced in court and remanded.
