AHMEDABAD: A shocking incident of violence erupted at a private hospital in Bhavnagar when a doctor was assaulted by a patient's relatives for asking them to remove their sandals before entering the emergency room.

The incident occurred when Dr Jaideep Singh Gohil asked the relatives of a woman patient, who was undergoing treatment for head injuries, to remove their footwear outside the room.
Enraged by the demand, one of the relatives attacked the doctor, and others joined in. The assault was captured on CCTV cameras, which showed the patient attempting to intervene and stop her relatives.

Hospital equipment was also damaged during the altercation. Police have arrested three individuals - Hiren Dhangar, Bhavdeep Dhangar, and Kaushik Kuadia - in connection with the incident.
