THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Surabhi, the mother of Dr Sreekutty, accused of the Mynagappally accident, is fully convinced about her daughter’s innocence and has dismissed all other theories surrounding the case.
Surabhi alleged conspiracy in the case, masterminded by accused Ajmal and Sreekutty’s first husband.
Surabhi:
“She called me and cried over the phone. My daughter said she would never do such a thing and expressed shock in the news weaved by the media. Her ex-husband befriended her saying he was a horse riding instructor and serial artist. I have now learned that Ajmal also tricked her into believing he was a serial actor and dancer.
Sreekutty has not told me anything regarding Ajmal and I don’t know what transpired in just two months. I don’t know why Ajmal ran his car over that lady to put my daughter in trouble. I can’t imagine the pain of the victim’s family. Sreekutty is such a character that she seldom moves from any patient who approaches her at the hospital. She cares for them like no other.
News about Sreekutty conducting an alcohol party at her rented house in Kollam is false. I used to visit her every month and have found nothing like that. Even last month I visited along with my son.
Sreekutty had five sovereigns worth of bracelets, earrings and rings or three sovereigns each. Suddenly after the accident, everything goes missing. She also had two vehicles. Ajmal took them both with him. I have not met Ajmal in person till now. I want the police to question Sreekutty’s former husband. The conspiracy will come out for sure.
Nobody in our family drinks alcohol. Ajmal would have force-fed alcohol to her. Some news outlets are saying that I do witchcraft and black magic. There is no truth in such claims.”
