Man sets house on fire in Alappuzha and commits suicide; wife, son sustain serious burns

ALAPPUZHA: A man committed suicide after setting his house on fire. The man, who ended his life is Sreekandan of Thalavady. His wife Omana (70), who was in the house at the time of the incident and his son, sustained serious burns. The incident happened Friday morning at 5 am.

Omana is bedridden. Seeing the house on fire, his son carried his mother and ran outside. The two sustained burns in between that. They have been admitted at the General Hospital. They were later shifted to Vandanam Medical College.
