Atishi Marlena to be sworn in as Delhi's new Chief Minister today

DELHI: Atishi Marlena will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi today. Other ministers in Kejriwal's cabinet will also be sworn in. Kejriwal is organizing a public program called Janata Ki Adalat tomorrow.

Atishi's swearing-in ceremony will be held at Delhi Raj Niwas at 4.30 pm. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena will administer the oath. Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat will also be sworn in as ministers. Mukesh Ahlawat is the only new face in the cabinet. The rest were also members of Kejriwal's cabinet.

It has also been decided to convene the Delhi Assembly session on 26th and 27th of this month. Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister last Tuesday after being released from jail in the liquor policy corruption case. After taking oath, Atishi will become Delhi's eighth chief minister and third woman chief minister.
