MALAPPURAM: Nilambur MLA PV Anvar has levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Anvar alleged that various activities, including gold smuggling, took place with the knowledge of the Chief Minister. He also cited the Sivasankar issue to support his claim. Anvar even scoffed that if things continue this way, Pinarayi Vijayan would be the last Communist Chief Minister of Kerala.
"Pinarayi is not even aware of things that happen right under his nose. If things continue this way, he will be the last Communist Chief Minister of Kerala," Anvar said.
Anvar stated that Pinarayi Vijayan is being led by mischief makers. He also stated that he won't resign from his MLA post.
"It was the people who elected me and I am liable to only them. No one should expect me to step down. I had seen Pinarayi as a father figure. However, he cheated me. The situation is so bad that those in power can carry out any corruption," he said.
Anvar also targeted minister Mohammed Riyas.
"Slavery prevails in the CPM. All this might be for Mohammed Riyas, Pinarayi's son-in-law. Is one Riyas enough for the party? Even party secretary MV Govindan is feeling powerless. Pinarayi doesn't deserve to continue as Home Minister for even a minute; his glory is lost," Anvar said.
Anvar also said that he has completely abandoned his ties with the Left Front and will not participate in the Parliamentary Party meeting.
Meanwhile, LDF Convener TP Ramakrishnan has come out against PV Anvar's allegations. Ramakrishnan said that Anvar was working for the Left Front's enemies and that the Front would give him an apt reply.
