Govinda suffers bullet injury after misfire from revolver, hospitalized

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Govinda has been admitted to the hospital following a bullet injury. The actor was accidentally shot from his own licensed revolver Tuesday early morning. Mumbai police informed that his health condition is satisfactory. Govinda, also a Shiv Sena leader, was preparing to leave for Kolkata when the incident happened, his manager Shashi Sinha told media.

When 60-year-old Govinda was keeping his revolver in the case, it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired and hit his leg. The bullet has been removed from his leg and his condition is fine, said the doctors attending on him. He is still in the Criticare hospital and has not been discharged.

The actor was alone at his home in Juhu at the time of the incident. His wife was in Kolkata. Th incident happened when the actor was about to leave for Kolkata where a show has been arranged.
