THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After exiting LDF and surrounded by controversy, Nilambur MLA PV Anvar on Wednesday arrived at the Assembly. Anvar, who came with KT Jaleel, was seen holding a red towel in his hand and wearing a DMK shawl around his neck. He reached the first floor accompanied by Jaleel.
Afterwards, he entered the Assembly hall and moved to his newly allotted seat. PV Anvar's seat is on the fourth row alongside League MLA AKM Ashraf. After Anvar entered the assembly, Manjalamkuzhi Ali stood up and greeted him. Najeeb Kanthapuram and P Ubaidulla also shook hands with Anvar.
Anvar told the media that he met the Governor as he had no faith in the police. He alleged that the SIT was not conducting a proper investigation and that they had not recorded his statement.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan did not arrive at the Assembly today. His office announced that doctors advised him to rest, following which he skipped the session.
