THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has responded to the letter sent by the Governor on the Malappuram remark. The chief minister replied to the Governor's letter that everything had been informed and there was no deliberate lapse in informing him.
"It is an unnecessary reference that I have something to hide. I have nothing to hide. I am noting my protest against the Governor's letter. The allegation that I have something to hide is baseless. No anti-national remarks have been made. It is not for the state to carry out gold smuggling," the chief minister added.
Meanwhile, the Ernakulam CJM court has ordered a probe against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The probe is based on the 'Life-saving act' statement made by the Chief Minister at the Nava Kerala Sadas. The court ordered the Ernakulam Central Police to investigate and submit a report. The order was passed on a private complaint filed by DCC president Muhammed Shiyas in the court. According to the complaint, the chief minister's statement was an instigation to commit crimes. The chief minister's controversial remarks were made during the Nava Kerala Sadas in November. The chief minister had later repeated this in the assembly as well.
