Youth in custody for slitting throat of 28-year-old cop in Kollam

KOLLAM: A man allegedly killed his friend by slitting his throat at Chithara in Kollam. The dead is Irshad (28) of Nilamel Valayidom. Irshad was a cop of Adoor Camp. Sahad, a friend of Irshad has been taken into police custody in connection with the incident.

Police said Sahad killed Irshad at his home. Sahad is an accused in MDMA drug case. Irshad was kept away from duty as part of disciplinary action. Police suspect whether drug dealings are something that led to the murder. The police are questioning Sahad.
