ALAPPUZHA: Not craning his neck into any controversies for the last few days has been too much to bear for MLA Anvar, as he resumed his explosive revelations this time aiming the shots at CPI. Anvar alleged CPI sold the Eranad assembly seat twice at a time when Veliyam Bharghavan and Kanam Rajendran were state secretaries.
PV Anvar:
“Veliyam Bharghavan was directly influenced by the Muslim League leadership in Kollam. Rs 25 lakh was contributed to CPI fund for the seat deal. When revealed the same, I received a legal notice. But I didn’t budge and was ready to reveal the location where the deal took place and even the name of the driver involved in the money transfer. CPI stood idle and never moved a finger against me.
CPI turned Eranad into a payment seat. The party deceived the voters of Malappuram falsely claiming that the candidate in Eranad was someone endorsed by A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar. I am challenging CPI to a public debate and they can send a defamation notice if they are willing to.
Even the locals did not know who the CPI candidate for 2021 was. When Annie Raja contested the last parliamentary election, the leaders did not allow a single rupee from this fund to her election campaign.
Finally, CPM took over the election work. Minister K. Rajan P. P. Suneer, Malappuram district secretary and others collected crores from the quarry owners. CPI leaders exhibit dacoit tendencies when it comes to plundering."
