Parassala resident arrested for growing and trading ganja; Excise seizes cannabis plants and dried ganja

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Excise has arrested a person who planted and harvested ganja plants and traded them in Parassala. Shankar (54), a native of Parassala, was caught with cannabis plants grown in his home lawn. Excise team seized two three meter long ganja plants and 150 grams of ganja cut and dried from these plants.

The case was investigated under the leadership of Amaravila Excise Range Inspector VN Mahesh. Along with the inspector, Assistant Excise Inspectors (Grade) Justin Raj, Gopakumar, Preventive Officer Vipin Sam, Civil Excise Officers Linto Raj, Akhil VA, Anish VJ, Woman Civil Excise Officer Lijitha and Civil Excise Officer Driver Suresh Kumar were also part of the investigation team.
