PALAKKAD: Congress Digital Media Convenor P Sarin is disgruntled on the selection of candidate for the Palakkad by-election. Sarin has not yet shared the campaign poster, although the youth congress state president Rahul Mamkootathil has been announced as the candidate for the Palakkad assembly constituency. This is the reason for the suspicion that Sarin has an objection to the selection of the candidate. Sarin has informed to meet the media today.

Shafi Parampil, former MLA of the constituency, had demanded that Rahul Mamkootathil be fielded from Palakkad. However, dissatisfaction arose in Palakkad DCC. After that, Palakkad paved the way for Rahul when the opposition leaders supported him. The names of K Muraleedharan and P Sarin were in the list of possible candidates.

There is a possibility that Sarin will contest from Palakkad against denying seat to him. It is also indicated that discussions were held with the left wing in this regard. It is also reported that the CPM is trying to take advantage of Sarin's displeasure. It is known that the left leaders had a meeting with Sarin. KPCC is also taking efforts to pacify Sarin. There are moves to make him avoid the press meet.

The congress had announced the names of Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency and former MP Ramya Haridas in Chelakkara. Voting is on November 13 and counting of votes is on November 23.
