ABU DHABI: The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced that visa on arrival has been made available to more Indian nationals in the UAE. A 60-day visa will be issued to eligible Indian travelers for Dh 250 (Rs 5722).
Indian nationals with tourist visas to UK and EU countries get visa on arrival presently. Previously it was only available to those who had a resident visa or tourist visa to the US, and those who had resident visas in the UK and the European Union. The condition is that the applicant's visa and passport must be valid for at least six months.
The authority has also announced a revised fee schedule for services. The fee for a 14-day entry visa for Indian nationals and their family members holding visas, residencies or green cards from the US, EU countries and the UK has been fixed at Dh 100. The fee for extending this visa for another 14 days is Dh 250. A 60-day visa costs Dh 250.
ICP Director General Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili said that the expansion of the visa on arrival system for certain Indian nationals is part of the long-term strategic partnership between the UAE and India. This reflects the leadership's commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties, attracting investments, entrepreneurs and talent, and enhancing the UAE's position as a global tourism and financial hub.
