MUMBAI: Security forces have killed five Maoists in an encounter in Maharashtra, a report said. The encounter took place in the Koparshi forest area of Gadchiroli district. According to the report, security forces were conducting an inspection in the region when the Maoists opened fire at them.
Meanwhile, searches are being conducted under the leadership of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in various areas of Chhattisgarh. The NIA has stated that the search is specifically targeting Maoists in the Bastar region. Several mobile phones, SIM cards, and other items have been seized from here.
