NEW DELHI: Indian Railways somersaulted into elite standards after the introduction of Vande Bharat trains. Many believe the new elite trains to have matched the cosy comfort provided on the flight. In just a few years after its introduction, Vande Bharat is bustling across all busy routes in the country. Now Railways has prepared a new gift for Indian passengers for Diwali. The longest-ever Vande Bharat service is all set for its first run during the festival season.
This train will run between Delhi and Patna via Uttar Pradesh. Railways informed that the train service will start on October 30 and ticket booking has already started. It is the longest Vande Bharat Express route currently in service. According to the IRCTC ticket booking website, the New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat will cover a distance of 1,000 km.
Earlier, the longest distance of Vande Bharat Express was 771 km from Delhi to Varanasi. New Delhi - Patna Vande Bharat Express takes 11.35 hours to complete the journey. Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express passing through Patalipura Junction will take 11.55 hrs and New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar (Patna) Tejas Rajdhani 11.30 hrs.
Vande Bharat special service will run from New Delhi to Patna every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and from Patna to Delhi on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. From Delhi, the train departs at 8.25 am and reaches Patna at 8 pm. The vehicle will depart from Patna at 07:30 AM and reach Delhi at 7 PM.
The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train has no sleeper class but chair car seats. An AC chair car ticket costs Rs 2,575 per person and an executive chair car ticket costs Rs 4,655. The special Vande Bharat train will start from New Delhi and stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deendyal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara Junction and reach Patna Junction.
