THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized the importance of enabling everyone to make accurate decisions on public issues, stating that all that is needed is an orderly approach, adapted to current conditions and free from bias. He was speaking at the inauguration of the 'Ente Bhoomi' comprehensive digital land information system.
He highlighted that each department has its own responsibilities in handling various issues and problems should be resolved swiftly. From the Chief Secretary to the Sepoy, every official holds distinct duties, though there are often challenges. While officials are expected to act justly, this is not always the case. The government, however, is committed to utilizing modern technology for the benefit of the public, ensuring that current systems are strengthened and made more user-friendly. People's rights should never be denied or compromised.
The Chief Minister noted that the government aims to strengthen the bond between the people and the administration. As part of the government's 100-day action plan, twelve new revenue e-services have been introduced. These include a revenue recovery digital payment system, a mobile application for complaint redressal and a system for accessing court information related to land disputes, all through the e-service platform.
Presiding over the event, Minister K Rajan highlighted that Kerala is set to become the first state to fully digitize all land-related information. In his keynote address, Minister Ramachandran Kadanapalli stated that when departments dealing with land collaborate effectively, the public will benefit greatly. Chief Secretary Sarada Muralidharan elaborated on the details of the initiative. Ministers K. Krishnankutty, V Shivankutty, G R Anil, along with MLAs V K Prashanth, Antony Raju and others were also present.
The 'Ente Bhoomi' Integrated Portal aims to ensure that all land records and services are smart, accessible and efficient. Through this system, land transactions will be conducted transparently, eliminating the need for people to visit multiple offices.
