VADAKANCHERRY: Renil (18), son of Raghu and a student of a hotel management course in Thrissur, was found dead on railway tracks after being hit by a train. Renil had been reported missing from his home early on Monday morning. He was last seen leaving the house with a bag of clothes around 3 am, sparking a search effort by both his family and the police.

Renil was an active member of AIYF. According to reports, he was unhappy with his hotel management studies and had ongoing disagreements with his family about his future.

On Monday afternoon, Renil contacted his family, who immediately informed the police. His phone was tracked and its location was found to be in the Kadavanthra area of Ernakulam. A team of cyber police began tracing his movements and by early Tuesday morning, his phone was located near Ernakulam railway station.

Upon receiving this information, Renil's family travelled from Thrissur to Ernakulam. However, by the time they reached Aluva, they were met with devastating news: Renil had been found dead on the railway tracks between Ernakulam South and North stations. Renil is survived by his mother, Dhanya and his sister Nandana.
