PARIYARAM: All media cameras were fixed in front of Kannur Medical College on Wednesday. Prasanthan, who raised a bribery accusation against ADM Naveen Babu, was to reach the place as part of evidence collection. However, no media was able to capture a glimpse of the complainant as CPM comrades entered the scene doing the saviour act.

In order to avoid media eyes, CPM workers made Prasanthan walk through prohibited routes inside the hospital.

Prasanthan reached the medical hospital before noon, unbeknownst to the journalists who had been camping since morning at the premise. Rajan Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, arrived at 5:30 in the evening. Even at late 6.30 pm, the statement recording continued.

The health minister had announced that Prasanthan, an employee of the electrical department of Pariyaram Medical College, would be dismissed. Prasanthan earlier gave a statement twice before Town CI Sreejith Koderi who was investigating the death of ADM. In a strange act caught on camera, Prasanthan after coming out from giving a statement, scuttled back to the police station to escape the media lens.

After ADM Naveen’s suicide, Prasanthan stayed away from work at Pariyaram Medical College.
