Woman attempts suicide in Kakkanad Collectorate, rushed to hospital

KOCHI: In a shocking incident, a woman from Palluruthy attempted suicide at the Ernakulam Collectorate's Regional Joint Director's office today. Sheeja, an architect, doused herself with petrol before being intercepted by her husband and Collectorate staff. She was later rushed to the hospital.

A complaint had been raised against Sheeja, alleging irregularities in a building plan she had drafted. Following this, a recommendation was made to suspend her license. Sheeja visited the Collectorate office today in connection with the issue. She collapsed soon after dousing herself with petrol.
