MUMBAI: Various teams have released the list of retained players ahead of the 2025 IPL season. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was retained by Mumbai Indians despite his earlier strife with the team management. At the same time defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders released their skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Rishabh Pant, who has been leading Delhi Capitals for a long time, parted ways with the club. Lucknow Supergiants skipper KL Rahul has been dropped from the team. While RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and superstar Glenn Maxwell were left out, only Yash Dayal and Rajat Patidar were retained in addition to Virat Kohli.
Punjab Kings retained only Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, in an attempt to shipshape the team.
