'Mallu Hindu Officers'; WhatsApp group for IAS officers in Kerala creates controversy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A controversy has erupted over the creation of a WhatsApp group of Hindu IAS officers in Kerala. The WhatsApp group involved in the controversy had Industries Department Director K Gopalakrishnan IAS as admin. The group was deleted within hours. Gopalakrishnan told the media that his phone was hacked and he has lodged a complaint with the cyber police.

The WhatsApp group that was created the other day to the shock of IAS officers. The group was called 'Mallu Hindu Officers'. Members of the WhatsApp group include senior officers of the service. Following the controversy, the group was quickly deleted. It is learned that some of those who were added to the group informed Gopalakrishnan IAS about the forming of the WhatsApp group. Following this, a message from Gopalakrishnan came to those who were made members of the group. It was that someone had hacked his phone. The message was that 11 groups were formed by adding the numbers on the phone. His colleagues were informed that all the groups had been deleted manualy and that the phone would be changed soon.
