Greeshma gave Sharone highly toxic paraquat weed killer to kill Sharon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The medical team informed the court the crucial information related to Sharon murder case. The doctors gave a statement in the court that Greeshma had mixed paraquat, a highly toxic weed killer, in the ayurvedic medicine to kill Sharon. Earlier it was not clear which weed killer was given. The expert doctors of the medical college who treated Sharon gave their statement in front of Neyyattinkara Additional District Sessions Judge A M Basheer.

Hours before mixing it in the ayurvedic medicine (kashayam), Greeshma had searched on the Internet how it works in the human body. She found that if 15 ml of it reaches the human body, death is sure. How poison works in the human body, the head of the medicine department of the medical college, Dr Aruna testified in court.

Paraquat works very quickly in the body. Symptoms of the disease will also appear soon. Even after inhaling this poison, a person may experience immediate swelling and pain in the mouth and throat. Once it reaches the body, it can cause severe symptoms similar to indigestion, such as nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. The blood pressure will drop and will experience breathing difficulty. According to the amount of paraquat in the body, the organs like heart, kidney, liver and lungs stop functioning one by one and death occurs.

A few days before paraquat was given, Greeshma gave Sharon fruit juice mixed with paracetamol tablets in the name of juice challenge. Greeshma had searched the internet many times about how much paracetamol should be given to cause death. All these digital evidences were produced by the prosecution. Public prosecutor V S Vineeth Kumar appeared.

Nirmal Kumar, her uncle and the third accused bought paraquat for her. The prosecution produced the bottle of the weed killer given to Sharon and other evidences in the court. The mahazar was prepared after retrieving the evidences of the web searched by Greeshma in the presence of Tehsildar Naushad.
