It was just some days back that actor Joju George decided to harangue a film reviewer for the latter's ill remark on the movie ‘Pani’. Things didn’t go as Joju planned as it was raining criticism and trolls for the actor. And now, director Akhil Marar has responded to the issue.
Akhil Marar:
"It was some days back that Joju made those remarks at the reviewer and things went awry for him after public backlash. Before getting into the issue, let me clarify one thing. Many know me as a good friend of Joju, but things have changed. For the past three months, I don’t have any contact with the actor. Joju blocked my number on WhatsApp and I still don’t know why.
I was present at the Pooja function of the movie and also visited the film set. Even during the editing works, I have been with Joju. But I don’t have any contribution to the film. Now I am here to respond to the issue simply based on my conscience.
Adarsh who made negative reviews of the movie is not as innocent as the media portrays. He worked for a television channel before and is now working in KPCC’s cyber war room. His negative review and jibes at Joju were personal. Joju once had a tiff with congress workers and Adarsh decided to settle scores by making a negative review at the actor's debut directional.
People should recognize and shame people, who are deliberately trying to degrade good films.”
