Youth hacks wife and mother-in-law to death in Vaikom

Kottayam: In a shocking incident, a youth hacked his wife and mother-in-law to death and surrendered before the police. The deceased have been identified as Vaikom Maravanthuruthu natives Geetha (58) and her daughter Sivapriya (30). Sivapriya's husband Nitheesh surrendered to the police after the murder.

According to the police, family disputes led to the murders. The couple's four-year-old child was present at home during the incident. Nithesh surrendered to police after handing over the child to a relative. Police arrived at the crime scene and initiated further proceedings.
