NEW DELHI: Khalistani terrorists, allegedly supported by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, vandalized a Hindu temple in Brampton. The attack occurred on Sunday at the Hindu Sabha Temple. The perpetrators broke into the temple complex and brutally assaulted women and children. Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack. He expressed hope that the Canadian government would ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.
The Hindu Canadian Foundation had shared a video showing a group attacking devotees outside the temple. India strongly condemned the incident and demanded stern action. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal expressed concern for the safety of Indians. He said that Prime Minister Trudeau must ensure the protection of places of worship.
Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre condemned the vandalism at a Hindu temple, calling it "unacceptable" and "unfortunate". Toronto MP Kevin Vuong criticized the Canadian government for allegedly turning Canada into a safe haven for terrorists. "Trudeau failed to protect Christians, Jews, and Hindus. Khalistan supporters have spread unrest," Parliament member Chandra Arya pointed out.
The attack on the temple in Canada comes amid a tense situation between India and Canada due to a diplomatic spat and allegations in the Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case.
