Girl dies of snake bite, grandma undergoing treatment

PALAKKAD: An eight-year-old girl died of a snake bite. The snake bit her when she was sleeping with her grandmother. She has been identified as Asbiya Fathima, daughter of Muhammed Jubeerali of Palakkad Vannamada Moolakada and Sabia Beegum.

The incident happened Tuesday early morning at 1.30 am. The snake bit her grandmother Rahamath (45) when she was sleeping. The locals and her family immediately took them to the district hospital. Asbiya Fathima collapsed early this morning at 2.30 am while undergoing treatment at the district hospital. When examined, found that the snake had also bit her.
