WASHINGTON DC: A mother has been arrested for attempting to sell her newborn baby online. The arrested woman has been identified as Juniper Bryson, a native of Texas in the USA. Shortly after giving birth to a child, she had put up a post on Facebook related to selling the child. She had also shared messages in online groups and on WhatsApp for those interested in adopting the child. Following this, several people, including gay couples, came forward expressing interest in adopting the child.
However, the woman's post didn't mention selling the child for money. It is said that Juniper tried to sell the baby as she felt that she could not raise the child herself. She shared the child's photo on social media with a note saying, 'Birth mother looking for adoptive parent(s)'. According to reports, one family approached Juniper after seeing this post.
When the family contacted Juniper, she demanded money in exchange for the child. According to the police, the woman demanded money to move into an apartment so that she could work a job, or a cheap down payment. However, after learning about the monetary demand, the family immediately withdrew their interest and left.
