Trump leads in swing states, wins North Carolina; leading with 247 electoral votes 

WASHINGTON DC: After four hours of vote counting in the US presidential election, the Republican Party's Donald Trump is leading with 247 electoral votes. Kamala Harris closely follows with 214 votes. Trump will have an absolute majority if he gets 270 of the total 538 electoral college votes.

Donald Trump is leading in states such as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming and Kansas. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has come first in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Trump is leading in leading in six swing states. The swing states play a significant role in determining the next President of the United States.
