'My face swelled up, giving me Chinese-like appearance'; was diagnosed with that condition when I was one and half years old, Hansika opens up

Hansika Krishna is a social media influencer and the youngest daughter of actor Krishnakumar. Hansika, a degree student, has her own YouTube channel and has a huge following. A recent video shared by Hansika on her YouTube channel has caught the attention of netizens. The video features Hansika playing the game 'Who Knows Me Better' with her mother Sindhu, and father Krishnakumar.

Hansika prepared a questionnaire incorporating her interests, passions, and some crucial life aspects. One question was about the age at which she fell ill. This question prompted her parents to disclose that Hansika suffered from illness at a very young age. They revealed that Hansika was afflicted at just one and a half years old and took around two to three years to recover.

Hansika later revealed to her followers that she had been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at the age of one and a half years. It is a complex kidney condition causing excessive protein loss through urine.

"During that time, my face swelled up and became puffy, giving me a Chinese-like appearance," Hansika says.

Hansika's mother Sindhu thanked all the doctors and hospital authorities who treated her daughter back then.
