After 14 years, Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai set to reunite

News surrounding Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai seems never-ending in the current spate of happenings in Bollywood. Recently, many headlines gleamed about Aishwarya’s departure from Bachchan family residence ‘Jalsa’ while some others quibbled over Nimrat Kaur’s entry into the whole drama. Amidst the whole mishmash of rumours, a new report suggests that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are teaming up for a new film after 14 long years.

It is reported that Mani Ratnam is all set to do a film in Hindi, in which Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan will team up. The same pair played the lead roles in Mani Ratnam’s 2007 hit movie ‘Guru’. The same pair also acted in ‘Raavan’ directed by Mani Ratnam. This will be Abhishek Bachchan’s third outing with Mani Ratnam.

Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai debuted in films through Mani Ratnam’s 1997 masterclass 'Iruvar'
