PALAKKAD: BJP State President K Surendran targeted police for allegedly aiding Congress workers in the black money case in Palakkad.
K SURENDRAN:
Whatever happened in KPM hotel in Palakkad last day was drama nonetheless. The police leaked information about the raid to congress workers. A special team within LDF is working day and night to ensure that UDF wins Palakkad.
The unholy nexus between LDF-UDF in Palakkad is very conspicuous. Minister M B Rajesh should answer why the police are delaying FIR in the case. People still remember M B Rajesh’s response that night asserting that congress workers brought black money for electioneering in Palakkad. The CCTV placed outside the hotel was not checked.
UDF candidate admitted that Youth Congress leader Jomon called him on the phone and told him about the raid details. The candidate then talked with police through Jomon’s phone. UDF candidate says that he was travelling. In reality, the plan was well orchestrated in KPM hotel. No media decided to check on the dubious statements made by the UDF candidate.
It was some days before that LDF leader A K Balan admitted that many of their cadres cross-voted for UDF in the last elections in Palakkad. Feni got bail because the police did not produce any evidence in the fake ID case. The team behind the fake ID card deal is back again with black money deals.
After just one day of protest, CPM's intensity has waned and they are slowly walking out of the case. Sarin is a scapegoat and will endure the same fate as Dr Jo Joseph. We will resist all attempts made at toppling democracy through money-power. We have no trust in the district collector.”
