Will move court against PP Divya's bail, not satisfied with SIT investigation: ADM Naveen Babu's family

PATHANAMTHITTA: ADM Naveen Babu’s family will approach the high court to cancel PP Divya's bail. The family said the SIT investigation was ineffective and demanded a thorough investigation into the conspiracy angle in the death.

Former district panchayat president PP Divya said that she is saddened by the death of ADM Naveen Babu. She said she will get to prove her innocence in court. Divya was responding to the media after her release from jail.

"Be it journalists or the general public, they have been seeing me for over two decades. I have worked as a people's representative in the district panchayat for the last 14 years. I am a person who works with people from different political parties and officials. I speak to any officer only in a well-intentioned manner.

I believe in the law. I'll tell the court my part. Just as Naveen Babu's family, I also want a proper investigation into his death. I hope I get an opportunity to prove my innocence in court.

I have known the local media channels for a long time. Be it any officer, I always keep good intentions while talking to them.”

PP Divya's father was ailing from a heart disease. The ruling said that the absence of the head of the family, even for a short time, would create hardship. Albeit this, the prosecution failed to prove the need for further custody.
