KOCHI: Producer Sandra Thomas said that the producer’s association turned against her for questioning the associations' silence over the Hema committee report. Sandra even drew parallels between producer Suresh Kumar and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Sandra Thomas:

"As far as I understand it is Sureshettan who is behind the decision to oust me. Sureshettan controls everything there. At this advanced age, the Producers Association does not even have a WhatsApp group.

There is a group of two panels. No discussion beneficial to producers has ever taken place there. Another person was ousted for doubting corruption in the new building of the producer’s association. Some others were shown the door for supporting director Vinayan. There is no room for dissenters. The trend has been going on for some long now.

As someone who has produced and distributed 14 films, I will remain part of this organisation. I don't know if I can do another movie. I believe that the public is with me. If I am not allowed to do a movie, I will produce and upload the same on YouTube. This is my living and I don't know any other trade."

At the same time, Sandra Thomas approached the Ernakulam Sub-Court, pointing out that the process of expelling her was illegal. In the petition, Sandra Thomas says that she was fired without giving an adequate explanation and requested the court intervene in the matter.
