Reckless car race by doctors claims bike passenger's life

KIZHAKKAMBALAM: A reckless car race between doctors of a private medical college has claimed the life of a youth in Kizhakkambalam. The incident took place near the Erumeli chapel on the Kizhakkambalam Erumeli Parakkode Road at around 8.30 am on Saturday.

Bike passenger Roger Paul, a native of Thiruvaniyoor, was killed after being hit by one of the cars driven by the doctors who were on the way to the medical college. The accident occurred when one of the two cars driven by the doctors was trying to overtake the car in front of it. Roger, an employee of a private firm in Kizhakkambalam, was on his way to work when the accident took place.

Wife: Ashitha (Australia). Son: Amaaris. The body is currently kept at the mortuary of KMP Hospital in Piravom. Dr Shyam Ramesh, who drove the car that caused the accident, has been charged with manslaughter.
