PATHANAMTHITTA: The party filed a complaint with the police after the campaign video of Palakkad UDF candidate Rahul Mamkoottathil appeared on the Pathanamthitta CPM's Facebook page. CPM forwarded the complaint to Pathanamthitta SP through email. The complaint has been filed stating that the page has been hacked. The Congress had challenged the CPM to lodge a complaint with the police. The SP also stated that the complaint will be forwarded to the cyber cell.

It is reported that Rahul Mamkoottathil's campaign video on CPM's Facebook page was not hacked. It is clear that the video was uploaded by one of the admins of the page. Then the admin panel was dissolved by the district committee. Rahul Mamkoottathil's promotional video with the headline 'Palakkad enna Snehavismayam' came on the page suggesting that it was in the name of CPM Pathanamthitta leadership.

The CPM state leadership sought an explanation from the district committee regarding the incident. Meanwhile, BJP state president K. Surendran said that Rahul's video on the CPM page is part of the CPM-Congress deal and the people of Palakkad will recognize it.
