Stepfather sentenced to death for abuse and murder of five-year-old

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Pathanamthitta Additional District Court 1 sentenced the stepfather to death in the case of abusing and killing a five-year-old girl. A native of Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu was sentenced to death. The court verdict stated that brutal sexual harassment and murder were proved against the accused.

The incident will take place in April 2021 in Kumbazha, Pathanamthitta. There were 66 stab wounds on the child's body. The post-mortem report stated that the cause of death was continuous beating. The mother left the five-year-old daughter to her stepfather and went to work at home. When she returned after work, the child was found dead and a complaint was filed following this.
