NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will consider the anticipatory bail plea filed by actor Siddique in the sexual harassment case on Tuesday. Siddique, who denied the investigation officer's allegation that he was not cooperating with the investigation, replied in writing that he was ready to follow any bail conditions. The bench comprising justices Bela M Trivedi and Satheesh Chandra Varma will consider the case. The actor is currently on an interim bail granted earlier by the apex court. The court will also hear the side of the state government and the complainant on Tuesday.
Denies allegation
In his reply, Siddique pointed out that the investigation officer's report stated that he had sexually assaulted the woman after promising her a role in a film and that even the complainant had not made such a claim against him. Siddique accused the investigation officer of fabricating stories against him. Siddique stated that his Facebook account had not been deactivated and that he wasn't active on social media due to ongoing cyber attacks. He further stated that he had acted as a hero only in very few films and appeared mostly in supporting roles. He added that the police claim that he has a great influence in the film industry will not stand in court.
