Elon Musk, Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy get major roles in Trump's cabinet

WASHINGTON DC: US President-elect Donald Trump announced that Elon Musk and Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that will be charged with drastically changing the government. Trump announced through a statement that Musk and Vivek will jointly reorganize the bureaucratic functions of his government and control excess expenses by eliminating impractical regulations.

Both Musk and Vivek will spearhead restructuring the functioning of federal institutions under the government. Trump stated that the "corruption" and scams within the government would be exposed and that Musk and Vivek are capable of elevating America to greatness once again (Make America Great Again).

Taking to X, Elon Musk said that all actions of DOGE will be posted online for transparency.

"All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency. Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know! We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining (with a smiley emoji)."

Ramaswamy posted his reaction on X, "We will not go gently, @elonmusk."
