LONDON: A search is on for the Indian-origin husband of a woman found dead in the trunk of a car in London. Harshita Brella (24) was killed in Northamptonshire, Britain. Police are intensifying their search for her husband, Pankaj Lamba.
Harshita's body was found in the trunk of a car in East London. Northamptonshire Police Chief Paul Cash said that Harshita was likely killed earlier this month. Police said that Pankaj went into hiding after Harshita's body was brought to Ilford by car from Northamptonshire. More than 60 detectives are searching for him. Paul Cash said that anyone with information about him has been asked to come forward.
A domestic violence protection order was issued for Harshita in September. Police said they received a phone call last Wednesday saying that Harshita's life was in danger. Security guards were then deployed to their home in Skegness Walk, Corby. However, Harshita went missing in the meantime. Following an investigation, her body was found abandoned in a car in Ilford on Thursday.
