'Not seeing each other these days'; Manju Pathrose, Simi Sabu reveal truth behind 'fight' rumours

Actress Manju Pathrose and vlogger Simi Sabu have decided to stop their YouTube vlog channel. Simi's business engagements and Manju's busy film works have forced the duo to end their highly popular vlog that went by the name ‘BLACKIES’.

Manju Pathrose and Simi Sabu:

“There are two to three reasons for ending the vlog. It was just an idea that sprouted during the lockdown days. To end our stress, we deemed vlog a perfect solution and cared nothing about the revenue. To be honest, despite doing vlogs for years, we haven’t generated any reasonable revenue.

Then came a realization. There are a considerable number of vloggers in the state doing this work as a career choice. It is impossible to compete with them. This brought in a shame and we slowly faded out from the work. Soon we got busy with our own work.

Not just that, a good vlog requires capital and time. The travel, food and accommodation we did for the sake of the vlog drained big money from our pockets. So we stopped vlogging temporarily and then got mired in our work.

Even relatives doubt we have parted ways due to some differences. It is common in business to lock horns over some money matters. But our case is different. We don’t have any money to divide. Or if such a situation arrives, we are damn sure of not engaging in petty quarrels. By god’s grace, we remain the best friends. But, indeed, we are now not seeing each other too often. It is not due to any fights but our work.

And now, we are planning a web series thing. Don’t expect anything on the level of ‘Bahubali’. The whole thing will be handled by us. If it fails, we will try our luck again with vlogs.”
