Another cyber fraud attempt in capital city: Student outsmarts scammers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In yet another cyber fraud attempt in the state, a gang tried to target Ashwaghosha, a student and native of Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram, earlier today. The incident occurred around noon.

The fraudsters reportedly engaged with the student for over an hour, attempting to trap him in their scheme. However, their efforts were thwarted when Ashwaghosha remained alert and recorded the conversation, capturing their tactics on camera.

Realizing they were being documented, the fraudsters abruptly ended the call and disappeared. The student's quick thinking and presence of mind helped foil the gang's plans, serving as a reminder of the growing need for vigilance against cybercrime.
