KOTTAYAM: Sandeep Varier, who recently left the BJP and joined the Congress, has addressed the growing discussion around his Facebook account. Following his switch in political allegiance, many noticed that his Facebook bio now reads "Congress worker." However, the link to his Facebook profile still reflects his past association with the BJP, sparking questions about whether he would create a new account to align with his new party.

In response, Sandeep clarified that he has no immediate plans to start a new Facebook page. "The account was created a long time ago and it reflects my past. It's just like old posts that remain on Facebook," he explained. "This is a verified account and it’s gaining followers organically. That’s why I’m not considering creating a new page right now. I may look into technical options for updating the link but I don't see it as a big issue."

Sandeep Varier, who parted ways with the BJP following a dispute with the party leadership, has faced criticism from his former party for joining Congress. In a press conference, he described the BJP as a "factory of hatred" and the Congress as a "shop of love”.
