Antony Perumbavoor is a person who came as a worker and became a producer. Antony came as a driver of an actor and later became one of the prominent figures who led Malayalam cinema. With the success of his first production film Narasimham, new steps were opened up for Antony. The office-bearership of FEUOK was the recognition that Antony received among the filmmakers.
Over the years, Antony Perumbavoor has been deciding every element of Mohanlal. For a Mohanlal film to happen, Antony's support is also required. Producer and director Alleppey Ashraf says that Lal will go ahead with only Antony's decision. Ashraf recounts his experience in this regard.
"Kayas is the younger brother of director Fazil. He has produced many films. He has good terms with Lal. Kayas got the opportunity to produce a film with Mohanlal and Fahadh in Siddique's direction. Siddique had crafted a beautiful story. Both Lal and Fahadh liked the story very much.
Fahadh agreed to give Kayas dates according to Lalettan's dates. So I came to the location along with Kayas to meet Lal to decide on the shooting date. Kayas is a person who speaks openly about anything. But he's very neat.
While talking to Lal, he said to Kayas, "Kayas, meet Antony and talk to him about the date." Suddenly Kayaz's face changed. "I can't do all that. There is only a direct deal with Lal. I can't do it with anyone else," Kayas said. When Mohanlal heard this, his smiling face changed to another form. He remained silent for a while, very seriously. Lal went to the caravan and sat down. That big project was called off just like that. It was once again proved that nothing would happen leaving Antony Perumbavoor aside. Mohanlal is of the view that if there is no Antony, no matter how big the project is, there is no need for it.
