KOCHI: Although the Aluva native actress has announced that she is withdrawing her sexual harassment complaint against actors Mukesh and others, the police cases will proceed. Given the actress's accusations against the police, the special investigation team will need to exercise caution. According to legal experts, the appropriate course of action for the police is to submit a refer report to the concerned courts, highlighting the inconsistencies in the actress's stance.

The actress must provide a valid reason in court for withdrawing her complaint, as the court may order the police to register a case against her if it appears the complaint was filed with malicious intent.

The court is also considering the petitions filed by the accused actors seeking the cancellation of the case. If the court quashes the case, the police can close the case. On getting acquitted, the actors can again approach the court seeking compensation from the complainant and the police for damaging their reputation in society.
