KOCHI: The actress hailing from Aluva has clarified that she will not withdraw her sexual harassment complaints against Mukesh MLA, actors Maniyanpilla Raju, Edavela Babu and Jayasurya. She had earlier said that she was withdrawing her complaint because of a lack of government support. However, after two days, she has taken a U-turn and decides to go forward with the complaint again. The actress said that she wants justice for the harassment she faced and therefore will not withdraw her complaint and will cooperate with the investigation team.
The actress came forward with the harassment allegations after the Hema Committee report was released. The police had registered a case on her complaint filed and had appointed a special investigation team. The actress' withdrawal while the investigation was going on created a feeling that it would affect the investigation itself. The actress maintained her innocence in the POSCO case and claimed that she did not get support from the government and the media to prove it. The actress had said that she would write a letter to the SIT informing them about her withdrawal of the complaint.
‘The investigation team was not even ready to hear her part. Will not pick up the phone when called. Did not even give the consideration a complainant should get. The police were not ready to find the truth in the case registered against her in the POCSO case. Was severely attacked on social media. No girl should tell such a blatant lie. Let she put her hand on her own daughter's head and say that I did it. When telling such a lie, should first investigate whether there is any truth in it. Don't crucify an innocent person like me. I came out for the public and the media.
Yet none of them stood with me. I am a very famous person on social media. The media here should have thought that I would not do such things. Why didn't they investigate the background of the relative who filed a complaint against me? I need the government's support in this case. The government should hold me,’ the actress said the other day. The reason behind the present decision is not clear.
